how to make acid rain
http://www.newhavenscience.org/4STCEcoLesson10.pdf <----- says that20 ml (4 tsp) of vinegar + 2 liters (2 qt) of water = imitation of acid rain with a pH of 4.0 as acid rain has a pH of anything less than 5.6
Information
http://www.epa.gov/acidrain/effects/forests.html#a3 <--- This site says that the effect of acid rain on plants is that acid rain is likely to weaken trees by damaging their leaves, limiting the nutrients available to them, or exposing them to toxic substances rather than killing them instantly.
http://www2b.abc.net.au/science/k2/stn/archives/archive85/newposts/1364/topic1364890.shtm<--- this says to give plants around 1 litre of water/week to every litre of soil.

editing my experiment
maybe i should just stick to acid rain and normal rain...so in this experiment, i will use just vinegar water (acid rain) and normal tap water.

NEW SRP
instead of figuring out water content, i plan to experiment to see if plants are affected by the type of water that is given to them. In this experiment, i will use vinegar water, tap water and sugar+salt water. The types of water can represent acid rain, normal rain and rain washing down nutrients to plants.

science experiment
decided what to do for my science report, im going to experiment to see if high water-absorbing vegetables, will change colour according to the colour of the water given to them.
